Walking Stars against cancer

On Saturday 25th November a team from Prysmian NZ joined 3,500 other people in the night-time half-marathon “Walking with the Stars” to raise vital funds for cancer research, support and prevention in New Zealand.

The journey started at 8.15 pm and the route took the walks through the Domain on to K Rd. The magical starlit walk then took us through Ponsonby, along the Auckland waterfront and ended with an uphill climb through Parnell before we reached the finish-line in the Domain at 12.45 am on Sunday morning.

“It was a great opportunity for us to come together as a team to support this cause which is very close to our hearts”, said Tony van Maanen, Prysmian New Zealand General Manager. “We look forward to participating again next year…we will even try to improve this year’s mark!”, concluded Tony.
